Raw energy balls (5 ingredients)
A tasty treat anytime of the day, hassle free to make and only requires five ingredients! Not to mention it is healthy, tasty, vegan and full of nutrition.
I created this recipe in collaboration with Kenwood Ireland using my newly gifted Kenwood Multi pro compact + one of the best food processors I have used. The energy balls were ready in a couple of mins and they were blitzed to perfection.
With a built-in scale as well it makes it so much easier to measure the ingredients and there is no need of using a separate kitchen scale, perfect for a small kitchen, looks fab and fits every household. It comes with various attachments which helps in creating variety of dishes.
I have always been a Kenwood lover, it was one of our first food processors we purchased 5 years ago and it made life so much easier in the kitchen, with chopping, grating and so much more.
For this recipe I have used fresh dates, just make sure to soak the dates in water for at least an hour. If you do not have the time you can soak it in warm water for half an hour. I would suggest using soft medjool dates they are easier to blend.
Mix and match any ingredients of your choice, I have used smooth peanut butter, you can use any nut butter of your choice. I have kept it simple and basic, you can make it fancy by adding any spices of your choice.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I did, please let me know if you try this do leave a comment below. Do remember to use my hashtag #soulfulandhealthy
|Prep Time:||Under 20 mins|
|Servings:||Makes about 10 to 12 balls|
- 500 grams fresh dates soaked in water for an hour
- 2 tbsp whole chia seeds
- 2 tbsp organic smooth peanut butter
- 2 heaping tbsp organic cocoa powder

Make sure the dates are soaked in water for an hour so they are soft.
Add all the above ingredients into the Kenwood Multipro Compact plus food processor and blitz well, scape down the sides a few times and make sure everything is well combined.
Transfer the mixture into a bowl or a plate and take about a tablespoon of the mixture and make small balls. Roll in desiccated coconut. Store in airtight container in the fridge. Enjoy!
